A Place Where The Word of God Is Supreme, Where Everyone Is Someone, All Are Welcome, And Jesus Christ Is Lord
Statement of Faith and Vision
The Scriptures Inspired
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.
(2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1 Pet. 1:23-25; Hebrew 4:12).
The Trinity
The One True God: We believe the Triune Godhead is comprised of three separate and distinct personalities, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, Who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed, and function as one entity. Jesus Christ, Who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, coequal and coeternal with The Father and The Holy Spirit.
(John 1:1; 1 John 5:7)
The Fall of Man and Redemption
We believe God created man, male and female, in His image and His likeness, and free from sin. We also believe that man, because of his fall in Adam, is a sinner by nature and choice, and his only hope for redemption is in Jesus Christ.
(Gen. 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Rom. 3:23; 5:12-21)
The Salvation of Man
We believe in salvation by grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and not by human works. That Jesus Christ became sin and sickness, providing both salvation and divine healing for all mankind. That the inward evidence to the Believer of his salvation, is the direct witness of The Holy Spirit, and that the outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness.
(Ps. 103:3; Rom. 10:8-10; Eph. 2:8)
Healing and Deliverance
We believe that God is still The Deliverer, through Jesus Christ, and that He heals from disease and sickness, both sovereignly, as well as through His people, in service to one another.
(Mark 7:27; 16:17-19)
The Church (Body of Christ)
We believe that the church is the Spiritual Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Holy Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Her great Commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly, and Church of the Firstborn, which includes the interdependence of local churches and the mutual submission of believers to one another in agape - love.
(Eph. 1:22, 2:19-22; Heb. 12:23)
Baptism in Water
We believe that the ordinance of baptism by a burial with Jesus Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have really repented, and in their hearts, have truly believed on Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
(Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:4)
The Separation of Church And State
We believe that each local church is a self-governing entity and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority, and that every human being is directly responsible to God in matters of faith and life.
(Matt. 22:21; Rom. 13:1; 1 Tim. 2:1-6)
Christian Conduct
We believe that the supreme task of every believer is to glorify God in his/her life through a life of personal ethics. The believer should live blamelessly before the world according to the Holy Scriptures, as such: Obeying the laws of the land; Obeying your father and mother in the Lord and honoring them; Having one spouse (male and female) and submitting one to another, as to the Lord; Not committing adultery or immorality; Not a drunkard, addicted to, or user of substances that negatively affect the body; Be a faithful steward of his possessions; Able to control themselves by seeking to please the Lord in all things; Seeking to please others and not just yourself; and Seek to realize the full stature of maturity in Jesus Christ.
(Lev. 18:22; Prov. 16:2; Matt. 5:27-28; Rom. 1:26-29, 13:1-2, 13:5-8; Gal. 5:21; Eph. 5:18-33, 6:1-9; 1 Cor. 3:16-17, 5:11, 6:9-19, 10:31; Col. 1:28; 1 Tim. 3:11; Titus 1:6-9, 2:1-8; 1 Peter 1:14,15; 2 Peter 2:14-19)
End Times
We believe that in the last days, difficult times will come and that many will defect from the Faith. We believe in a bodily resurrection of the redeemed and the lost. That those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead, and all others will live eternally with Christ. We believe in the eternal conscious existence of all men either in Heaven or Hell, and in Divine judgments, rewards, and punishments.
(John 5:28-29; 1 Cor. 15:51-58; 2 Cor. 5:10; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Tim. 4:1-3; Rev. 19-20)
The Millennial Reign (Blessed Hope)
We believe in the return of Jesus Christ with His Saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth, as the Scriptures promise. After this, there shall be a NEW heaven and a NEW earth.
(1 Cor. 15:51-52; 1 Thess. 4:26-27; Rev. 19,21)
